| 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  a kid's review, A Kid's Review = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Wowwee Light Strike Scope (Toy) When I first got this, I thought that I was going to be sniping all my friends, I mean don't get me wrong the scope was and is cool, but its hard to aim with the thing, but i think the the dot (the dot wasn't a little laser it was actually a little dot of plastic with a light on it) was made a little bigger because when you shoot it sends not a laser but a signal out so the dot is how big the signal is at long range. but the range is incredible because i could go into my neiybor's yard and shot and hit the target that was on the edge of my yard. so thats why i think its incredibly accurate but wait there are some more reasons. speaking that the bullets don't go down (like the stupid nerf bullets and the xploderz) where you aim is where you hit. but i would want a real scope one day, but i also think i kept thinking in the war that i kept missing but that wasn't the problem, it was because you get SIX LIVES.Also the scope alows you to unlock the"OPTIC"and "REFACTOL" cannon... I decided on the scope for several reasons, not the least of which was its versatility in the range of available weapon selections. I also enjoyed the "feel" of being able to look down the scope at the target, even though there is no zoom to speak of. I will address each benefit and detriment below.Accuracy/Range: Having just purchased a house with the biggest yard I've ever had (200ft, minimum), I decided I needed the scope so that I could make the fullest use of the space I have available to me. What I discovered is that the maximum effective range of a striker with this accessory may be well above the advertised 100ft (IF you're playing in sunset conditions or total darkness). As with any infrared tagger, bright light will reduce range and accuracy. I also discovered that I could hit my target much more effectively with the scope than without it, despite popular opinion... Read more  Great accessory for weapons, not aim, By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Wowwee Light Strike Scope (Toy) This is actually a very helpful and fun accessory for the Light Strike Assault Strikers but NOT for aiming abilities. If you are purchasing this because you think it will make you an awesome sniper you are seriously misled. What this accessory is extremely useful for is for adding additional weapon selections to your gun, especially if you are using the rapid fire system as well. When an assault striker has this accessory as well as the rapid fire accessory attached you have every available weapon at your finger tip. If I were to tell you that I've never used the scope as a scope that would be a lie but what I can tell you is that I rarely use it for aiming purposes but I do make sure I have it attached solely for weapon selection. |
