i went through 3 fake harris type bipods that all fell apart from stripped screws or s&^t parts. Finally, i decided that i want a proven bipod, which is notorious for being the best. Harris is that. its a solid feel, there are no jiggling parts. perfect for my rem 700 .308

After getting two cheap bipods from Amazon and having them literally fall apart in my hands I decided to hazard a name brand.
Overall the build quality and finish are excellent. It performs all it claims and installs in seconds.
I had to take a star away due to the arm adjustment system. I prefer the type my cheapies had wherein depressing the clamp deployed the spring-loaded arms, releasing it locked the arms. With this bipod you have to turn a screw-head, manually adjust the arms, then re-tighten it.
Overall it's very nice, but like it's recommended usage advises, it should only be used on a bench rest or at the range, not for hunting or MIL/LE/GOV.
