Our crib only came with a 1" mattress. It was hard and unsupportive. Therefore, I wanted to upgrade the mattress. I spent weeks looking at mattresses and brands. I compared quality and pricing. After agonizing over this decision I decided on the Kolcraft mattress. I am so glad I did! It fits snug and perfect into our porta crib. It is just the right firmness and thickness for our crib. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this mattress. I also bought the American Baby mattress pad and jersey knit sheets for a porta crib. They fit perfect and added the best comfort to our crib. This mattress seems very well made and I anticipate it to have a long life. It also has a manufacturer warranty of 1 year.
