Further, I more deeply researched racks at Cabela's and individual websites.This rack is heavy duty, quality constructed, and worth the money. If you zoom in, you will notice that they are built double strength between each pistol slot. Probably unnecessary to the the task of holding pistols, but when I lift a whole rack out of the safe, there is some confidence gained by this structural sturdiness and stability. For standard handguns it works well. I have several pistols with target grips and a couple of others with scopes that will not fit in it. I purchased two but will only be using one unless I end up buying more standard style handguns.Let me repeat I am not knocking this rack. It is a strong well made one. If you are not planning to store oddball pistols it will be great.
